The Beginning

Take yourself back to the first time you ever logged into SL (SecondLife)...your pausing or is it I? Nope not I, I remember exactly how it came about..in fact it was like it was a sign.  You know the ones that just happen against all odds?  My life at the time was very deep emotionally with my feelings about my current relationship in tatters. I had not long had a newborn baby and with postnatal depression (ignored at the time) I was so very lost in my real life.

I had however seen an advertisement a year or so back about an on-line virtual world but for the life of me I could not remember the name of the game. That day I decided to browse my google and try to find it. No luck..nada...nothing just those war games, fairy-elves, etc....

Frustrated with myself and my computer I logged off feeling very peeved! There was no chance I would find that game I had once saw I know I had tried everything, so up the stairs I went to go and finally get a shower and changed for my day ahead. What was that? I heard something coming from the TV downstairs.  This Morning was on (gosh remember those days lol) and there was Richard and Judy discussing some love affair with an on-line virtual game.

My ears perked instantly..wth...down the stairs I raced...OMG that was the game I had spent hours searching for on-line. Yes Second Life......yes that's the one? Racing down the stairs and sitting down immediately my eyes widened listening to the couples fairy tale story and how they met on-line inside this fantasy game. My ears tweaked and perked as Richard mentioned the name...THATS IT!!!! I screamed SECOND LIFE!!!

Tell me that was not a sign? Well I certainly believe it was........to be continued....
